Update: COVID-19 Awareness/OFE Emergency Preparedness

MESSAGE TO OFE JOB SEEKERS, STAFF, REFERRAL PARTNERS, AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS​

Attention OFE Staff, Participants and Visitors:

Current Status:   WE ARE OPEN.  Please wear a mask/face covering when attending OFE as per Manitoba’s current Code Red restrictions in the Winnipeg Metropolitan area.  

To focus on safely providing assistance amidst COVID-19, all our services are currently by appointment only.  Please call us at (204) 925-3490, or email us at ofe@ofe.ca or chat with one of our Service Advisors to set up an appointment prior to coming to our office.

We are continuing to provide a full-range of support.  Staff are working on-site to assist over 500 Job Seekers.  Intake applications are being received.  

COVID 19 PROTOCOL AT OFE:  FOR STAFF, PARTICIPANTS AND VISITORS

    • Please stay home if you are feeling ill 
    • Use the self-screening tool before coming to OFE
    • Wear a mask/face covering
    • Please read and adhere to our COVID-19 signage regarding our protocols including safe hygiene practices (ex. coughing and sneezing into one’s elbow, frequent hand washing)
    • Participants – connect with our staff to sign in upon arrival for contract tracing.
    • Please ask all guests/visitors/contractors etc. to do the online self-assessment and check-in at the Welcome Desk to provide their information for contract tracing
    • Follow social-distancing and safety protocols recommended by public health officials and
    • Maintain a minimum of two meters of distance between you and anyone else at OFE
    • Use alternate meeting formats when possible
    • In-person services are available by appointment only
    • Employees or participants who are considered at risk of more severe disease or outcomes should speak with their designated Program Manager/EC to talk about alternate formats for engagement including work from home accommodations.

NOTICE:  In the event an employee, participant or volunteer is confirmed to have COVID-19 while at OFE during the time they were infectious, public health officials will conduct a public health investigation. Public health will notify any close contacts directly and are responsible for any notifications to the public about any potential risk of exposure. 

We are following Public Health Orders and continue with cleaning protocols and other safety measures.  We take your safety very seriously and thank you for partnering with us by wearing masks, washing your hands frequently and maintaining a minimum of six feet of distance.

JOB SEEKERS:

In-person services are available by appointment.   In addition,  our staff are available to assist you virtually. OFE job seekers are encouraged to continue to connect with their assigned Employment Consultant via email or office phone. General inquiries and contact information are available at ofe@ofe.ca or by phoning 204-925-3490. We have opened a live chat option on our website at www.ofe.ca,
which will be operated between 8:00 and 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. After hours, please leave a message and we will follow-up with you.
