Update: COVID-19 Awareness/OFE Emergency Preparedness

MESSAGE TO OFE JOB SEEKERS, STAFF, REFERRAL PARTNERS, AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS

Letter from the OFE Executive Director

Current Status:

In-person services have been suspended, but we are continuing to provide a full-range of support.  Staff are working on and off site to assist over 500 Job Seekers.  Intake applications are being received.  Please use the LiveChat feature on this website to contact us for more information or email us at 0fe@ofe.ca.

Opportunities for Employment (OFE) continues to closely monitor the Coronavirus COVID-19 threat. As the safety of our participants
and staff is our top priority, and in keeping with the most current information available, we have made the difficult decision to suspend in-person service delivery and training sessions in order to support social distancing efforts in our province.

We will continue to monitor this situation very closely, and re-evaluate future plans based on prevailing conditions and expert advice.

JOB SEEKERS:

Our staff are available to assist you. OFE job seekers are encouraged to continue to connect with their assigned Employment Consultant via email or office phone. General inquiries and contact information are available at ofe@ofe.ca or by phoning 204-925-3490. We have opened a live chat option on our website at www.ofe.ca,
which will be operated between 8:00 and 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. After hours, please leave a message and we will follow-up with you.

COVID-19 Intake Information for New Applicants

EMPLOYER PARTNERS:
Many Winnipeg employers are facing many staffing challenges during this pandemic period. Many businesses that provide critical services are needing to recruit new employees as demand for their goods and services increase and as existing staff capacity changes due to illness or lack of childcare.

If you are recruiting, we can help. We have many current job seekers who are ready, willing and able to work. Please contact us at employerservices@ofe.ca.

REFERRAL PARTNERS:

Referrals can be made through our website and applicants can contact us at ofe@ofe.ca for information. Applicants are asked not to
attend the office at this time. We will contact them for a phone appointment.
